Circle of Sports, created in the mid-1980s of polished brass, is a stylized rendering of men and women in baseball, basketball, football, tennis, ice hockey and soccer. Up close, look for sports balls and skates, and a bat, racket and stick. Circle of Sports is an eye-catching piece of art, sponsored by the then relatively new Percent for Art Program, established by state law in 1979. This Maine artist is known for his metal sculptures, many of which are whimsical in nature.
