All Economics and Financial Economics students take a core set of classes in microeconomics, macroeconomics and data analysis.

The BA and BS degrees have different math requirements, e.g., BS programs require calculus (or an equivalent math course).

The Economics degrees cover a broad set of topics (e.g., Urban, Behavioral, Environmental, Economic Development, Health, Economic Growth), whereas the Financial Economics degrees are more focused and build skills in accounting and finance as well. The other Economics courses and general electives that you take set your degree apart!
