Worried about...
The Suicide Prevention Lifeline has an online chat feature and you can get support by text through Crisis Text Line that is Free, 24/7 & Confidential – (Text START to 741-741). Or you can always call 1-800-273-TALK (8255) and speak with someone by phone.
We know that traditional counseling isn't right for everyone...
Help can come in a variety of formats and we want to support you getting the help you need in a way that works for you, whether that’s through counseling or suggesting things you can try on your own. Just like your physical health, you need to strengthen your mental health to stay healthy and manage the challenges of life.
Join UMaine Active Minds to meet with other students dedicated to fighting mental illness stigma or read about mental health issues that college students face.
(And if at some point you decide you’d like a little more support from one of our counselors, you’re always welcome to make an appointment.)
