Residence Hall Descriptions - Honors Housing Residence Halls
The Honors Program at the University of Maine works with Residence Life to provide clustered housing for Honors students. For Fall 2013, both new and eligible returning Honors students will be housed in Balentine, Colvin and Penobscot Halls.
Students admitted to the Honors Program are not required to live in Honors housing and may choose to live in any of the halls for which they are eligible (upper-class halls for second-year, third-year and senior students; first-year halls for first-year students).

- Double and single rooms
- Typical double room measures 12’6″ x 17’8″ with 6’8″ x 5’3″ window
- Closed during winter and spring breaks
- Open during October and Thanksgiving breaks
- 77 resident capacity

- Suite-style double rooms; two double rooms share a common area
- Single-gender suites
- Rooms and suites vary in size due to the layout of the building
- Closed during winter and spring breaks

- 35 resident capacity
