The Office of Student Financial Aid is proud to serve those who have served our country. We administer various federal, state and university aid programs to help University of Maine students finance their education. We award and process financial aid for students and advise students and their families, the campus community and the general public on issues related to financial aid.

Chapter 35

The waiver covers your tuition and mandatory fees, which may include the communication, activity, unified, recreation center and program fees.

  • We will also review your enrollment after the add/drop period and make any necessary changes to your waiver.
  • If you are eligible to receive a refund for the semester, you will need to contact the Bursar’s Office.  They will verify with The Office of Student Financial Aid before issuing a refund, confirming that your waiver has been posted for the number of credit hours you are enrolled in.
