Rebecca Buchanan, UMaine Assistant Professor of Curriculum, Assessment and Instruction; research interests include the intersection of personal identity, professional development, school reform, literacy and language, how teachers learn in and across multiple contexts by connecting their own personal and professional pasts with the present
Nikki Correa, USM Assistant Professor, School Counseling; research interests include suicidality, ethnic/racially diverse adolescents, and innovative school counseling techniques, advocacy for the school counseling profession and the well-being of K-12 student, counselor education
Matt Dube, UMA Assistant Professor in Computer Information Systems and Data Science; research interests include intersection of data science with geography, specifically the development of formal representations of spatial linguistics/language toward the development of spatial artificial intelligence, applied research in the redistricting process, equine reproduction, computational ecology, and community psychology
Scott Eaton- USM Assistant Professor Mechanical Engineering; research interests include energy conversion and thermodynamics, combustion & fuels, K-12 outreach-high altitude balloons, engineering design, design for accessibility, fire and fire safety, spacecraft systems engineering

Clemon George, USM Assistant Professor of Health Sciences; research interests include social epidemiology, improving sexual health outcomes for youth, minorities, and other populations, community-based participatory research, health and wellbeing of society through research and community service
Md. Rafiul Hassan, UMPI Associate Professor of Computer Science and Curriculum Development Specialist; research interests include artificial intelligence, deep learning, machine learning, and computational intelligence with a focus on developing new data mining and machine learning techniques for big data analysis and 5G-enabled IoT
Luke Kellet, UMF Assistant Professor of Anthropology; research interests include long-term interactions between humans and their cultural and physical landscapes, especially during periods of climate change, archaeological research in the Andahuaylas region of highland Peru where he is investigating the prehistoric settlement ecology of the Chanka ethnic group during a period of drought and social upheaval (AD 1000-1400)

Ashanthi Maxworth, USM Assistant Professor of Electrical Engineering; research interests include modelling EM wave propagation in the near Earth space using ground based and satellite observations, antenna designing for biomedical and space applications, and analyzing low frequency data for general space applications
Tammy Mills, UMaine Assistant Professor of Curriculum, Assessment and Instruction; research interests include Reading Recovery, teacher preparation, literacy, learning as the theoretical framework for analysis, the complexities of teaching and learning and using non-linear theoretical perspectives of teaching and learning to better understand practice
Jesse Minor UMF Assistant Professor Geography & Environmental Planning; research interests include fire and forest ecology,  sacred forests in Southern China, local science engagement networks, campus forests
Nicole Rogers, UMFK Assistant Professor of Forestry; research interests include sustainable forest management with a concentration in forest biometrics and geomatics, regeneration dynamics of Northern Hardwood Forests, long-term outcomes of commonly applied silvicultural systems (now at UMaine)

USM Assistant Professor of Linguistics; research interests include syntactic structure of American Sign Language, comparative syntax- spoken and signed languages, acquisition of signed languages as first and/or second language and homesigned systems
Yura Yasui, USM Assistant Professor of Counselor Education; research interests include the significance of community in people’s lives and integration of people with diverse backgrounds, service-learning in courses on community-related topics, such as medical and psychological aspects of disability, multicultural counseling, and professional issues in mental health counseling-fusing community & students’ interests
