Upward Bound
Upward Bound is a federally funded TRIO Program established under the Lyndon B. Johnson administration through the Economic Opportunity Act of 1964. The University of Maine hosts two projects, Upward Bound and Upward Bound Math-Science, both administered under the College of Education and Human Development.
Upward Bound Projects are awarded to provide college preparation advising and services to high school students with college aspirations who may come from low-income backgrounds, and/or who may be the first in their family to obtain a four-year college degree. All services are provided at NO COST to enrolled participants and their families.
