Welcome to Macwahoc!
Macwahoc, meaning “bog or wet ground” in its native inhabitants’ language (Abenaki), is a plantation originally settled in 1830. Agriculture and logging are the traditional industries of Macwahoc, and today outdoor recreation has become popular, especially snowmobiling, canoeing, and hunting.
