We are pleased to announce the return of the U.S. – Canada Lobster Town Meeting in Portland, Maine, February 3 – 4, 2023.

As in the past, the meeting will address pressing issues affecting the lobster industry in the U.S. and Canada. Town Meeting is a unique opportunity for cross-border dialog among fishermen, managers, and researchers. Please mark your calendars and plan to join us for a candid and lively moderated discussion.


This year’s theme: The US-Canadian lobster fishery and the North Atlantic right whale

  • Session III – Shifting Distributions in a Changing Climate
  • Session IV – Future Technology and Innovations

Friday, February 3

  • 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.  Sessions I, II, and III and Discussion
  • 4:30 p.m. – 6:30 p.m.  Seafood Reception

Saturday, February 4

  • 9 a.m. – 10:30 a.m.           Session IV
  • 10:30 a.m. – noon             Discussions and Wrap Up

A registration fee of $75 per person includes the following:

  • Sessions on February 3 & 4
  • Breakfast on February 3 & 4 (from 8 – 9 a.m.)

  • A seafood reception on the evening of February 3
