Allan discusses hazing on WBBM NewsRadio in Chicago
University of Maine College of Education and Human Development professor of higher education Elizabeth Allan was featured on Chicago’s WBBM NewsRadio in a segment about the dangers of hazing. Allan explained that hazing is not just what people see in the headlines. “The definition of hazing — that we use, that is a general foundational definition — is that it’s any activity expected of someone participating in a group that humiliates, abuses or potentially endangers them regardless of their willingness to participate,” Allan said.
