Maine DOE boosts UMaine Educators Institute
The Maine Department of Education (MDOE) shared a University of Maine news release about the first annual UMaine Educators Institute, June 22–23. The announcement will be featured in the department’s weekly email newsletter, Maine DOE Update, which reaches educators across the state. The UMaine Educators Institute will include renowned experts in education and mental health from Maine and beyond. Participants will engage in interactive workshops as individuals or as part of school-based teams. The event will feature six strands: Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Justice; Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS); Trauma and Resilience; Social-Emotional Learning (SEL); Student-Centered Learning; and Exploring Wabanaki Studies.
