Undergraduate Program Learning Outcomes

Upon the successful completion of program requirements for a B.S in Wildlife Ecology, students will:

• Apply broad foundational knowledge from a variety of biological and physical sciences to critical thinking, problem-solving, and informed decision-making in wildlife conservation.
• Select and apply appropriate field techniques and data collection methods to address questions relevant to animal populations and their habitats.
• Apply natural history skills to identify flora and fauna, and recognize and interpret ecological patterns relevant to animal populations and their habitats.
• Design robust studies and select and apply appropriate analytical tools to address wildlife, fisheries, and conservation biology related management and research questions.
• Apply broad knowledge of social sciences to current issues in the conservation of animal populations and their habitats.
