Hiram
Welcome to Hiram!
The town of Hiram was settled in the late 1700s and incorporated in 1814, and exchanged lands with neighboring towns several times before reaching its current size. The town is named after the biblical King Hiram of Tyre. Hiram was once a stage stop on the Pequawket Trail connecting the Native American settlement at Pequawket (now Fryeburg) to coastal settlements, and was once connected to Bridgton via the Bridgton and Saco River Railroad line.
