Located south of Gouldsboro, Winter Harbor is a beautiful little town next to the Schoodic Peninsula, next to Birch Harbor and Prospect Harbor. Winter Harbor is a great place to stop as a little detour from the trek to the farther end of DownEast, offering wonderful views of the neighboring Mount Desert Island and the narrows that sit between the harbor and MDI.
