Interested in working within an innovative public school program for students at-risk? The Maine Academy of Natural Sciences has an opening for a full time Social Worker to work with our students and families in Threshold – our home-visiting program, and with students in the campus program. Along with providing counseling for students with severe social anxiety, the work will also include advocating for the needs of families in crisis, experiencing generational poverty, and those going through joblessness, food insecurity, etc. The job will entail going to students’ homes, as well as providing counseling at the School on its campus in Hinckley, Maine.
