UMaine News Release, Jan. 22, 2015 – Assistant Professor Michelle Smith recognizes that lecturing, as a teaching-learning technique, is not the most effective way to reach students. Her work, which was published in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences, was also featured in ScienceInsider, the on-line journal of the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS).
