Media highlight UMaine Extension faculty who judged maple competition
The Portland Press Herald and Spectrum News highlighted faculty from University of Maine Cooperative Extension who served as judges for the Maine Maple Producers Association’s annual contest. The judges included Jason Lilley, Maine sustainable agriculture and maple industry educator for UMaine Extension; Kathy Hopkins, maple syrup expert and retired Extension educator; and Sean Horan, a climate-smart agricultural and forestry professional for both Extension and the Natural Resources Conservation Service.
