The Weekly Packet examines how kids can learn and monitor tick-borne diseases 

The Weekly Packet interviewed Carla Scocchi, a University of Maine Cooperative Extension 4-H Youth Development Professional, specializing in engaging kids in informal educational settings. The 4-H Tick Project works with a great range of community partners, including the UMaine Extension Tick Lab, the Maine Forest Tick Survey, Gulf of Maine Research Institute, and Blue Hill Heritage Trust, to integrate kids into the task of monitoring the prevalence of tick and tick-borne diseases in their area.
