Press Herald interviews UMaine Extension professional on tick populations

The Portland Press Herald interviewed Griffin Dill, University of Maine Cooperative Extension integrated pest management professional, on the increasing range in deer tick populations in the midcoast and Down East. For the second year in a row, Maine recorded a record number of Lyme disease cases in 2023. Dill said the humidity and coastal climate of the area help tick populations thrive. The Sun Journal, Kennebec Journal, and NewsPub shared the Press Herald report.
