Thirty-eight faculty members receive tenure and/or promotion
At the University of Maine, 38 faculty members have received tenure and/or promotion this spring. The annual announcement recognizes outstanding achievement in teaching, scholarship and research, and community engagement.
Tenure for 28 of the faculty members was approved by the University of Maine System Board of Trustees on March 28.
“It’s rewarding to recognize these members of UMaine’s world-class faculty for their leadership in the classroom, in research and scholarship, and in outreach,” says John Volin, UMaine executive vice president for academic affairs and provost. “They contribute to the transformative UMaine student experience for undergraduate and graduate students, and the university’s overall strength and success as a comprehensive Research 1 university.”
