Anderson cited in Press Herald story on 200-year-old dairy farm
The Portland Press Herald interviewed Gary Anderson, animal and bioscience specialist with the University of Maine Cooperative Extension, for a story on Hall Farms in East Dixfield. The 200-year-old farm was named 2016 Maine Dairy Farm of the Year by the New England Green Pastures Program. Anderson told the Press Herald the Hall family has “a cohesive multi-generational farm that works well together.” The Halls converted the 1,200-acre farm to an all organic dairy operation in 2002.
