4-H livestock work featured in ‘Maine from Farm to Fair’ video

Maine 4-H, a program offered through the University of Maine Cooperative Extension, was highlighted in a recent video produced by the Maine Department of Agriculture, Conservation and Forestry.

The video, “4-H Show Cattle,” highlights the Pride family of Limington and their 4-H livestock work. The family, including two youth, prepare their animals for show and market throughout the year.

In the video, the siblings talk about the time, physical and emotional investment they make in their 4-H animals, and why the program plays such an important role in their lives.

The video is part of the department’s “Maine from Farm to Fair” series.
