UMaine mathematics competition: 2015 results
All students of Calculus I and II (MAT 126-127) were invited to participate in the annual University of Maine mathematics competition. The test consisted of several challenging calculus problems, to be solved over one weekend.
33 students participated. Prizes included cash and gift certificates to the University Bookstore.
Calculus I
First Prize, $150 cash and $25 gift certificate: Alec Roach
Two Second Prizes, $75 cash and $25 gift certificate each: Nick Fortin and Oliver Adams
Honorable mention and $25 gift certificate: Mykayla Hagaman.
Calculus II
First Prize, $150 cash and $25 gift certificate: Mark McGillicuddy
Two Second Prizes, $75 cash and $25 gift certificate each: Reuben Kebreau and Jake Stevens
Third Prize, $50 cash and $25 gift certificate: Antonia Carroll
