Gabrielli, Fensie receive Graduate Student Government awards
University of Maine College of Education and Human Development graduate students Danielle Gabrielli and Anne Fensie were recognized at the UMaine Graduate Student Government’s 2021 Appreciation Event.
Gabrielli, a Ph.D. student in PreK-12 education (literacy education), was named the GSG’s Senator of the Year for her exceptional work on behalf of UMaine graduate students this past year. Fensie, a doctoral student in higher education, received the Dan Sandweiss Graduate Student Advocacy Award, given annually to one graduate student and one non-student member of the UMaine who go above and beyond to create personal and professional development opportunities for graduate students, who offer time and assistance in advocating for individual graduate student needs as well as the needs of the collective student body, and who focus on the advancement of graduate students during their time at UMaine and beyond.
