The Atlantic cited a 2008 University of Maine study on hazing in the article, “Death at a Penn State fraternity.” The article refers to the report, which was conducted by researchers Elizabeth Allan and Mary Madden, as “the most comprehensive study of college hazing.” The study found 80 percent of fraternity members report being hazed, the article states.
