- Complete the online application
- Complete/Accept Financial Terms and Conditions
- This must be done in order to register for classes. More Information About the Financial Responsibility Statement
- Transfer Credits and Early College
- If you have credits from a community college or another university, request that they send an official transcript directly to UMaine. If you have Early College credits from UMaine they will appear on your transcript
- AP Exams
- If you took AP exams and didn’t request the official scores to be sent to UMaine, contact the Advanced Placement board to send the scores.
- Math Placement Exam
- Your score on the exam will determine what class you are enrolled in. The math placement exam does not award you math credit.

- Laptop Requirement
- You must bring your own laptop to UMaine. Learn more about our laptop requirements and minimum requirements.
- Register for Classes
- The Maine Business School advising staff will register first-year students for fall classes. You can pick up your class schedule at our Summer Orientation. Transfer students will register themselves for courses. MBS Advisors will email transfer students registration information and a copy of their requirements sheet.
- Attend Summer Orientation
- UMaine’s Admissions Office will contact you about Summer Orientation.
