Do I need to come to the Orono Campus?
No, you do not need to come to Orono campus.  The MaineMBA is offered 100% online, at the Orono campus, or at the Portland campus. You may choose to take courses online or at either location.
What time are the classes offered?
The MaineMBA is designed for working adults, so courses are offered in the evening (typically 6pm-9pm), online, or, occasionally, on the weekend. Most online courses are asynchronous, meaning that you can log in and do the coursework whenever you have time.
How many hours a week should I expect to spend on classes?
We advise students to plan to spend about 10-15 hours per week, per course. Some courses will require more of a time commitment, others will require less.
Will I need to take the GMAT?
The GMAT is waived for UMaine System Employee applicants who fulfill waiver criteria, including 1.) Those who already hold a graduate degree, CPA, CFA, CFP, or equivalent industry designation. 2.) Those with significant leadership and budget/finance experience, or 3.) Veterans of the U.S. Armed Services. 4.) Three or more years of industry experience in a STEM field or highly quantitative or analytical environment. 5.)
