Vision
Our vision is for a university in which students are fully engaged in a vibrant and purposeful community life that nurtures, guides and motivates them in realizing their fullest academic and personal potential.
Mission
The Division of Student Affairs actively joins with students, faculty and staff to provide exceptional programs, services, and co-curricular experiences that foster an inclusive community to enhance students’ academic and personal success.
- To deliver excellent service to students focusing on student satisfaction and engagement, being current with their interests and needs, and ensuring their participation and awareness.
- To prioritize and value diversity and inclusivity, to promote/support among other things positive global citizenship in our services, communities, programming, support for divergent ideas, cultural awareness, and presentation of world and domestic issues. Contribute to creating a campus climate that supports many identities and encourages all students’ retention and success at the University of Maine.
- To attend to the physical and emotional safety of all aspects of our community through programs, training, and new initiatives.
