Our Building
The Wilson Center is located on College Ave, just a three-minute walk from the University of Maine campus.
It is known to generations of UMaine students as “the A-frame on College Avenue.”

The building provides a physical space that students, faculty, and staff can use for spiritual/educational functions, meetings, and social gatherings.
Our open meeting area can accommodate up to 70 people for meetings and special events, including weddings. If you are interested in using the Wilson Center for your special event or if you have an activity you would like added to our regular offerings (see calendar), please fill out this form. We will get back to you right away to finalize details.
In addition, the Wilson Center has three residential rooms that are for rent to students and staff of The University of Maine. These are rented separately. We are currently full.
On the Wilson Center grounds is the Elizabeth A. Morris Peace Garden, named in honor of the dynamic chaplain who served at the center from 1990-1993.
Our facilities are available free to UMaine student groups and by rental to community members. The Wilson Center is an LGBTQ+ celebratory space and follows the University’s non-discrimination policy. All parties utilizing our space must do the same.
Contact our Director for more information about hosting your next event at the Wilson Center.
