Dr. Howell Microfluidic Research

Dr. Howell and her team have recently received a grant from the NSF to work on the scale-up of a microfluidic water purification system in collaboration with researchers at the Wyss Institute for Biologically Inspired Engineering at Harvard University, where they have developed the first prototype. Dr. Howell and team also recently had a paper accepted in PLOS ONE about a new method to rapidly and cheaply prototype microfluidic devices using papermaking equipment, in collaboration with Maine paper company Sappi Westbrook. Click here to access the paper.
