Eagle Lake

Welcome to Eagle Lake!

With less than 1,000 people, this small town in the St. John Valley is home to various recreational activities centered around its namesake body of water, Eagle Lake.

Settled in 1840 by Acadian-French and Irish immigrants, Eagle Lake got its name from Major Strickland and his troops during the Aroostook War who was traveling north from Bangor and noticed many eagles around the lake.
