Recipes

One of the major new sections we are going to be adding here in the blog is a compilation of recipes from various cookbooks that focus on Maine cooking. Additionally, we are going to be reaching out to all of you to submit some of your favorite Maine-centric recipes! Feel free to submit a recipe with ingredients, amounts, and instructions, for a chance to be featured in our blog and promoted on Facebook!

The first cookbook we will be featuring is titled The Maine Feast, a compilation of recipes collected by the Maine Association of Support Personnel. Each recipe donated by someone, and we will attribute them accordingly. If you find your recipe on here and would rather not have it up, let us know, and we will remove it, no questions asked!

The second cookbook we will be referencing is Cooking Down East by Marjorie Standish. The book features loads of wonderful meals sampled from her column in the Maine Sunday Telegram. Standish was inspired by her travels around rural Maine, including her time as a home economics teacher in Lisbon, Ashland, and Stratton. She also traveled around Bridgton, Norway, and Limerick.

We are excited to be sharing these recipes with all of you, and be sure to try them out and tell us what you think! Again, we welcome contributions of your own, which we may feature and, of course, attribute to you as well.
