Leadership Development programs at the University of Maine strive to help students identify and develop their values and personal goals through skill based training.  Students can participate in workshops, retreats, speaker series, and an annual state-wide leadership conference. The goal of this programming on campus is to help students develop effective leadership and become engaged citizens with a global and inclusive perspective.

Students in all majors are welcome and encouraged to participate.  Regardless if a student is emerging or thriving in their leadership development, we look forward to assisting in your journey and helping you reach your goals.

The Dirigo Leadership Society is an Honorary Society for students that have met the requirements and exemplified ethical leadership.
The Emerging Leaders Program offers training and team building for students beginning their leadership journey. This program is offered during the spring semester.
The Thriving Leaders Program focuses on leadership coaching and facilitation for continued leadership development. This program is offered during the fall semester.
The Dirigo Leadership Conference is an annual state-wide Leadership Conference hosted on UMaine's campus. The conference is scheduled during the fall semester.
