This credentialed position features a $3000 sign on bonus for new MGH hires.
MaineGeneral Health’s Employee Assistance Program (EAP) provides benefits to MaineGeneral Health employees as well as other local businesses who contract for services.
Are you looking to create a niche for yourself in your professional career? The Employee Assistance Clinician will have the opportunity to work as part of teams within the healthcare system as well as assist area businesses to promote a healthy environment in which to work. The position will also provide brief counseling and education. This position allows for a flexible schedule and travel to meet the needs of employees and area businesses. This position is half time days and will cover Augusta & Waterville areas with occasional coverage in Skowhegan as needed.
The ideal candidate will have:
Master’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling or related field (required).
Maine State conditional licensure LMSW-cc, LCPC-c or independent licensure LCSW or LCPC.
Job Description:
Provides assessment, brief counseling, education and referral services for employees who work for businesses contracted with our Employee Assistance Program.
Works collaboratively with Workplace Health medical staff, payers and internal/external resources to identify appropriate resources for injured employees referred for a Post Injury Behavioral Health assessment to assist in determining injury resolution and ability to perform work tasks.
Works with our Wellness team to diversify and collaborate between behavioral health and well-being programs.
Provides brief group, individual and family sessions in person or virtual from the office setting.
Provides employers with on-site services including process groups, critical incident response, supervisory
training, management consultation, occasional policy development and employee orientation.
Provides emotional support rounding throughout our MaineGeneral Health departments. Identifies and refers employees to appropriate community resources for on-going counseling services.
