Community Clinical Services has several positions available
Community Clinical Services, affiliated with St. Mary’s Health System, is currently seeking two mental health clinicians, one in our School Based Health Program at Lewiston Middle School and the other in our Outpatient Counseling practice in Lewiston. In addition, our Outpatient Counseling department is seeking a front office staff (Patient Service Representative) to assist our practice with administrative support from 7AM to 330PM. And finally, our Behavioral Case Management department is currently seeking an Adult Peer Support Specialist.
Position: Clinician (School Based Health)
The clinician position provides counseling services to students with mental health needs in the school-based setting (Lewiston Middle School). The model of treatment provided is dependent on each individual’s needs. This role is responsible for collaborating with other providers to provide holistic care to students, developing individualized treatment plans and documenting treatment progress in the electronic health record. The clinician will model appropriate social interaction skills, including boundaries, communication, conflict resolution, etc. with clients, families, school personal, peers and others.
Responsibilities:
• Provides outpatient counseling to students and, if applicable, their families, dependent upon clinical need.
• Completes documentation of client records within the electronic health record.
• Develops treatment goals and reviews progress in treatment.
• Collaborates with other providers, school personnel, family, etc., as needed.
• Completes grant reporting requirements

Education and Requirements:

Position: Clinician II (Outpatient Counseling)
The Clinician II position will provide counseling services in integrated primary care settings and at our outpatient clinic (All offices are located within the Lewiston and Auburn area). This is a year- round, salaried and benefit-eligible position. This role will be responsible for collaborating with other providers to provide holistic care to clients. Brief, solution-focused therapy is the indicated therapeutic model for our integrated primary care sites. In our outpatient clinic setting, we offer long term counseling services. The ideal candidate will model appropriate social interaction skills, including boundaries, health communication, conflict resolution, etc. with patients, families, peers and others.
Responsibilities:
• Provides outpatient counseling to all clients entering our department and, if applicable, their families, dependent upon clinical need.
• Completes documentation of client records within the electronic health record.
• Develops treatment goals and reviews progress in treatment.
• Collaborates with other providers, family, etc., as needed.

Position: Patient Service Representative (Outpatient Counseling)

The Patient Service Representative serves as the primary point of contact for patients, acting as an information conduit between client and outpatient counseling practice, and coordinating ancillary services associated with meeting client mental health care needs. The hours of this position are 7:00AM to 3:30PM.

Position: Peer Support Specialist (Behavioral Case Management)
The Adult Peer Support Specialist is an integral part of the BHHO (Behavioral Health Home Organization) interdisciplinary team. As part of Community Clinical Services – Adult Behavioral Case Management Program, the Peer Support Specialist will apply the tools developed in his or her own mental health recovery, as well as, the philosophy and values of the Intentional Peer Support Model. The right candidate will be a peer that is willing to self-identify as having received or is receiving services related to the diagnosis of a mental illness. The Peer Support Specialist will collaborate, coach and challenge individuals in viewing life’s challenges as an opportunity for growth and change within each individual’s recovery process and is willing to self-identify on
this basis with peers and in the community. The identified candidate would practice Intentional Peer Support through one-on-one meetings with peers, facilitation of peer support groups, education and outreach.
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; some college preferred
- State of Maine Certified Intentional Peer Support Specialist (CIPSS) preferred
- Provisional CIPSS required within 9 months of hire
Experience:
- Self-identified mental health consumer of care.
- Paid or unpaid peer support experience preferred. Applicants are encouraged to share some
reference to meeting the criteria of having lived experience, in the mental health recovery process, in their cover letter.
Other Skills Required:
- High level of Confidentiality required
- Demonstrated basic computer efficiency with ability to navigate Microsoft Office, electronic
medical records and office 365
- Adheres to state guidelines mandated reporting of child, adult, and/or elder abuse
- Excellent organizational skills
