Our Family Counseling Center continues to grow its clinical team and we invite you to join us!
Our center provides a safe and comfortable environment for clients to receive the best possible mental
health care. Clients have the right to be seen, heard and valued and It Is a principle we use in our work as
Counselors and throughout Maine Children’s Home. We support one another In the difficult work we do
every day
We understand that there Is not a “one size fits all” schedule and can offer staff a great deal of flexibility in
how they schedule their client work. We offer:
• Part, Full or close to full–time positions. Pay and hours vary with your choice of billable options.
• Telehealth only positions are available for fully licensed clinicians living within a 60 mile radius.
• Hybrid positions that are a mix of in–person client visits and telehealth client visits.
We are a dedicated group of passionate professionals, providing outpatient therapy to young children,
youth, and their families. We would like to add counselors to our staff who enjoy working with a supportive
team and who also may enjoy working In schools or child–centered organizations.
We support our counselors in advancing their skills and abilities in trauma focused treatment approaches
by continually seeking out training opportunities to bring to our campus. We also offer an exciting
opportunity for on–site play therapy training as we are an Approved Provider Site of play therapy continuing
education. We can also provide supervision for play therapy certified counselors with an on–staff Play
Therapy Supervisor. It is our goal to keep our counselors’ skills current so that we can offer the most
effective treatment possible.
REQUIREMENTS
At least 2 years of experience in professional counseling with children and families.
Experience in working with young children is desired as well as a personal interest in
increasing skills in play therapy, and other evidenced–based models of treatment,
including trauma–focused approaches. Experience working with adoptive/foster families is highly desirable

EDUCATION
Fully licensed LCSW or LCPC preferred, but we will also consider conditionally licensed
professionals
