Family Support/Alternative Response Worker
Are you motivated to improve child safety in your community? Community Concepts’ Family Services Department is seeking a Full Time Alternative Response/Family Support Worker who will partner with families reported to the Department of Health and Human Services/ Child Protective Services for child abuse/neglect concerns. Currently, due to the pandemic, we are offering hazard pay for this position and staff are deploying from home rather than the office and masks are required while deployed. Staff will conduct risk assessments and provide brief home-based services to connect families to resources and mitigate identified risks. The safety of children is paramount in all decisions staff make on behalf of the program. This position will be based out of our South Paris office and will primarily provide services in Oxford County. To Qualify: Bachelor’s degree in Social Work or related field; must have or be eligible to immediately obtain a minimum of a conditional social work license.
Other Requirements: Pre-employment SBI, DMV, DHHS, sex offender registry and federal debarment background checks must be completed upon offer of hire and as a condition of employment. Must have the following: a valid driver’s license; telephone; computer/word-processing skills, preferably Microsoft Office; ability to function autonomously and as part of a team.
