Social Worker Positions Available
Downeast Community Partners is hiring for the full-time position of Resource Advocate.
Responsibilities include: Working with individuals and families who are economically vulnerable to provide assistance and support in managing the challenges they are experiencing. The position will include both short-term assistance with immediate needs as well as offering support on longer-term goals. It will include assisting participants working on many different areas of life depending on the needs. Positions are based in Hancock and Washington Counties and include extensive travel.
Required skills/duties include:
* A strong desire to help families, meet them where they are at, and assist in barrier removal
* The ability to work independently as well as part of a team
* Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills including dependability, motivation, and flexibility
* Excellent communication skills
* Very good time management skills
Education required:
- The successful candidate will have a 4 year degree in Social Work or a related field
