RiSE Center Conferences

The RiSE Center hosts two annual conferences: the RiSE Center Conference on STEM Education and Related Research in June and the Maine STEM Partnership Fall Summit. The Maine STEM Partnership is a STEM education improvement community supporting STEM educators statewide. The RiSE Center Conference provides educators of all levels (PK–16+) the opportunity to network and learn about current education research that can positively impact student success in STEM classrooms.

RiSE Center Conference on STEM Education and Related Research

Integrating Research and Practice: Engaging Students with Authentic Research and Problem Solving in STEM

June 26–27 at Wells Conference Center, University of Maine, Orono

Hosted by the Maine Center for Research in STEM Education (RiSE Center)

This two-day conference brings together researchers and PreK-16+ educators to share research findings and explore new technologies, theories, approaches and challenges to teaching and learning in the STEM disciplines: science, technology, mathematics and engineering.

Conference cost: $600 (standard registration + lodging):

  • $450 registration fee ($150 for UMaine faculty/staff, $75 for UMaine MST/STEM Ed PhD students)
  • $150 lodging fee (Monday night lodging in a local hotel)
