Tuition Rates & Fees
Fall 2021 – Spring 2022 In-State Tuition Rates
- Undergraduate – $388.00 per credit hour
- Graduates – $541.00 per credit hour (UMaine applies the in-state tuition rate to all graduate student tuition on all extramurally funded grants and contracts.)

FY22 & 23 Graduate Student Stipend Rates
- $26,667 minimum 12-month stipend for PhD Students, equivalent to:
- $20,000.25 for 9-month appointment; or
- $2,222.25 per month
- $22,667 minimum 12-month stipend for Masters Students, equivalent to:
- $17,000.25 for 9-month appointment; or
- $1,888.92 per month

Graduate Student Health Insurance – Annual Premiums
- 8/1/22 – 7/31/23 – $1,332 for domestic student w/ no dependents
