Howorth discusses AI in the classroom on WFVX

Associate Professor of Special Education Sarah Howorth was featured on WFVX (FOX22/ABC7) for a conversation about ways K-12 teachers can use artificial intelligence to enrich student learning. “Teachers can use AI to create materials that are targeted toward [students’] interests,” Howorth said. She added that there are AI tools that can be used by students with diagnosed learning disabilities who need accommodations, such as notetakers and tools that adapt the readability level of a text. “That way students who might struggle can still be included with their peers and not feel like their being pulled out of instruction or be embarrassed by having someone give them different content,” Howorth said.
