Madeline West: Krissy Miner Memorial Award for Outstanding M.Ed./Ed.S. Student in Educational Leadership
The Krissy Miner Memorial Award for Outstanding M.Ed./Ed.S. Student in Educational Leadership is presented to a master’s or educational specialist student in educational leadership who has demonstrated an affinity for their own leadership development as an educator. The recipient understands the cognitive, interpersonal and intra-personal aspects of their own leadership development to better meet the needs of students, families and stakeholders in their community.

Madeline (Maddy) West is the 2023 recipient of the Krissy Miner Memorial Award for Outstanding M.Ed./Ed.S. Student in Educational Leadership. In her role as assistant principal at Asa C. Adams Elementary School in RSU 26 (Orono), Maddy centers diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging (DEIB) scholarship and demonstrates understanding of the cognitive, interpersonal and intrapersonal aspects of their own leadership development to better meet the needs of students, families and stakeholders in their community.
