UMaine alum named state’s history teacher of the year, Bangor Daily News reports
University of Maine alumnus Geoffrey Wingard has been named Maine’s 2022 State History Teacher of the Year, the Bangor Daily News reported. Wingard, who teaches at Bangor High School, earned a bachelor’s degree in anthropology and a master’s degree in history from UMaine. The Maine Department of Education also highlighted Wingard’s accolade.
