The Maine Question: How have Maine schools dealt with the pandemic?

Last spring, when the coronavirus was causing major shifts in how schools educated children, associate professor of educational leadership Catharine Biddle and lecturer in educational leadership Maria Frankland, as well as students from the College of Education and Human Development did some research. They explored how schools were managing and communicating decisions to families. One of the researchers’ goals was to identify best practices for educators to use during the COVID-19 pandemic, or any other large disruption.

Biddle and Frankland discussed their research on ‘The Maine Question’ with host Ron Lisnet. Listen to the episode at UMaine News, or on Soundcloud. Learn more about this research at the Beyond Crisis Schooling website.
