UMaine Microscopy Learning Offerings Feature CORE Resources

The Microscopy and Image Analysis Core (MIAC) invites the public to a virtual Imaris demo workshop on Thursday, November 14th, 2024, beginning at 1:00pm. Imaris is an interactive image analysis software that allows you to analyze 2D, 3D and 4D microscopy data. The Microscopy and Image Analysis Core offers a full Imaris Software Suite allowing you to analyze your data easily and efficiently. Host Dr. Zhengxin Ma will also answer any questions you may have about the event or about MIAC. This event is free of charge. Click here to learn how to register for the Imaris Demo Workshop.

For those interested in microscopy techniques and equipment, associate professor Dr. Karissa Tilbury will also host a free Lunch and Learn workshop on Fluorescence Imaging with Bruker Technologies on Monday, November 18th, 2024, beginning at 11:30am. This in-person presentation will be located in room 202 at the Ferland Engineering Education and Design Center, University of Maine, Orono. During this 60-minute session, a range of customizable fluorescence microscopy equipment for 2D and 3D imaging will be introduced. These technologies support multiphoton imaging and photostimulation, single-molecule localization, light-sheet imaging, miniscopes microscopy, and data management.
