CCAR Seeks a Temporary Research Assistant- Green Sea Urchins

The University of Maine is seeking to fill the position of Temporary Research Assistant, to be based at the Center for Cooperative Aquaculture Research, located in Franklin, ME.  Pay is $15.32 per hour.  Position starts ASAP for an anticipated duration of four months at 40 hours per week with some weekend and holiday shifts required. This is a project-specific position focused on rearing and husbandry of sea urchins in an indoor aquaculture facility. Temporary position may be extended contingent on funding. The successful applicant must have 1 year combined experience with any of the following: care of fish or animals, laboratory operations, or farm and food production.  College degree may substitute for experience. Ability to fabricate, repair, and install aquaculture equipment is a plus.
