Began Conservation Science NRT Program Summer 2022

What attracted me to the University of Maine and the NRT Conservation Science program is the possibility to do work with the help of multiple disciplines and having access to many resources through different partners in the area.

I received a BA in Environmental Studies with a double minor in Sociology and French from Hamilton College, in New York State. I am currently starting my Master’s at the School of Forest Resources at the University of Maine. I am interested in human dimensions of natural resources, more specifically Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, Justice and Accessibility (DEIJA principles). My current research has focused on barriers that people face when outdoor recreating. I am also interested in learning more about transdisciplinary work and qualitative research.
