course design institute: ai focus

In-Person | Alternate Tuesdays from 3:00-4:00pm starts Jan 21st

Re-design your course to include meaningful AI

Artificial Intelligence, in particular large language models like ChatGPT, Claude, and Gemini bring simultaneous opportunities and challenges to our teaching. CITL’s Course Design Institute (CDI) focuses on designing or re-defining course learning outcomes, assessments of learning, and our planned learning activities with the support of CITL staff and instructional designers.

This AI-focused CDI will support learning of the same foundational knowledge of course design, with a focus on how and where AI will or can make an impact. We are offering this iteration of the CDI through bi-weekly meetings*.

We are no longer accepting registrations for this CoP.

*Participants should plan for several hours of work in between scheduled meeting dates, including consultations with instructional designers,  as well as asynchronous peer-learning opportunities. A $300.00 will be provided for those who are eligible.

Here’s what they’re saying!

I learned a ton and think all faculty would benefit from doing this – and their students would too!
