Instructional Design
Instructional design is a creative process that uses contemporary research in teaching and learning to guide the development of course content that provides relevant and meaningful educational experiences for today’s students. Instructional design at CITL uses a project-based approach, and we have designed processes that enable us to create effective course content in an efficient and thoughtful way. We have a filming studio where instructors can create many different kinds of video content for their courses, and if what your students need can’t be captured in the studio, we have a travel kit that allows us to capture content on locations across campus or even further afield. All of our work relies on content expertise provided by UMaine instructors.
CITL’s instructional designers are agile and adaptable, and we all have expertise in teaching and learning, and we know how to create the most accessible and inclusive courses possible. We are experts in audio and video production, motion graphics, and data visualization, and we’re ready to apply these tools to your course materials. We’re great listeners and we are always on the lookout for new technologies and techniques to help create the best possible courses for UMaine’s students.
