What is Peer Advising?

For students who want 1:1 help with creating a resume or cover letter, looking for an on-campus job, researching or navigating our fairs, or reviewing their LinkedIn profile, Monday-Thursday from 11am-1pm is the time to come up to the 3rd floor of the Union!

Meet your Peer Advisors!

Brianna Lemarier

My name is Brianna Lemarier, and I am an English major and a senior at the University of Maine. I work as a Peer Advisor at the Career Center, helping students with their resumes and cover letters, as well as Careerlink and LinkedIn. I hope to work in technical writing after I graduate. I am very passionate about creative writing and writing of all different kinds. In my role, I hope to continue to help students with their application materials and with discovering what they may want to do in the future through their interests and passions.

Erick Oquendo

De Jesus

Hello everyone, my name is Erick Oquendo De Jesus. I am a wildlife ecology major with a concentration in conservation biology. I am a transfer junior at UMaine and moved here from Connecticut. I currently work as a Peer advisor at the Career Center, where we can help students with their resumes, cover letters, careerlink, and even LinkedIn. My role is to help students with these services while offering the point of view and comfort of being one of their peers.
